2. What personal data do we collect and how do we collect it?

For the purposes of this Privacy Statement “personal data” consists of any information that relates to you and/or information from which you can be identified, directly or indirectly.

We may collect, store, use, and transfer different types of personal data, with different types groups together, such as first name, last name, title, address, email address, financial information, promotional data such as which promotional materials you wish to receive from us, and political opinions.

We collect personal data via different methods. One method is via the information you provide directly to us, such as signing up to our mailing address and filling in forms on our website and providing us with your contact information, name, address, choosing to receive promotional material from us, or corresponding with us via email address. We may also collect personal data via your data being shared with the New Conservatives as a subsidiary of the New Social Covenant Unit, as a result of you signing up to promotions of the subsidiaries of the New Social Covenant Unit. 

We may also collect public data about you via third parties and publicly available sources such as third party analytics providers such as Google Analytics.

It is only possible for us to use your personal data when in accordance with the law. For the most part, we will use your information when we need to comply with a legal obligation, when we have your consent, when we need to perform the contract we have entered into with you, and when it is relevant for our interests and your interests too. This includes the use of your political opinions as pertains to our legitimate activities and as relates to the use of the New Conservatives’ objectives.

4. With whom do we share your information?

We may share your data with service providers such as IT and Cloud services, marketing services, and payment facilitators. We will also disclose your data in order to apply with applicable law or regulation, for example with regulators, if needed to, for example, operate the security of our website or to prevent spam. Finally, if you opt in to sharing your information with our subsidiary organisations, then we will share your information with such third parties. 

5. How do we do to keep your personal data secure?

We limit access to your personal data to employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a need to know. Your data will only be processed on our instructions.

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary in order to fulfil the purpose/s it was collected for. After this it will be deleted, in accordance with the applicable law.

When your personal data is no longer required for the purpose it was collected or as required by applicable law, it will be deleted and/or returned to you in accordance with applicable law. Similarly, should you so desire, you may ask us to delete your personal data.

7. Your rights pertaining to your personal data

You have the right to request a copy of the data we have collected about you. You may also ask us to delete your personal data at any time, or transfer it to a different organisation. Similarly, you may contact us to ask us to change or update your personal data. If you have any other questions or requests pertaining to your personal data, you may get in touch with us via the details provided earlier in this Statement. We will aim to reply to your request within one month.

If you are based in the UK and are worried that we have not complied with your legal rights under applicable data protection laws, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.gov.uk) which is the data protection regulator in the UK which is where The New Conservatives is registered.
